Prince's of Persia (2008) gauntlet

I loved that game! Absolutely loved it! Maybe it wasn't that well received, but I couldn't get enough of it. I played it on my friend's PS3 and then I bought it for PC because I wanted to play it again and again. And despite how awesome Elika's character or appearance was, I never considered crafting anything other than the Prince's gauntlet. I didn't even care if I would ever craft the rest of the costume, or eventually cosplay as the Prince, I just wanted to wear the gauntlet.

Unfortunately, the gauntlet is not with us today... It was accidentally destroyed after it was crushed by a really heavy object (which I didn't notice), and left there for weeks until it was discovered. It couldn't be saved at that point...

Still haven't figured out whether I loved the gauntlet because of the game magic, or because of the way it looked!

Good thing for Ubisoft and their free camera movement, I had a lot of reference pictures. I made a copy of my hand with tin foil and paper tape. 

Some people have two left feet....

Sewed the glove with brown pleather and drew patterns for the metallic parts. I used tin foil to make patterns for the claws. Picture taken with a potato camera, hence the quality. 

Cut and painted the metallic details and claws (not too much weathering though).

I think I'll miss you most of all, thumb claw!
